Undercover Fleet
Greetings, Special Agent K.
The Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre - Narcotics (MAOC-N), based in Lisbon, is clearing some of its backlog. Their new AI anomaly detection program flagged an interesting satellite image. A fishing vessel traveling outside regular fishing lanes, alone in the Atlantic Ocean, without doing any fishing.
However, that was not all they discovered.
Using image archives from Airbus Pléiades Neo, they suspect to have spotted a missile crate being transported on the vessel’s aft deck. Since the incident was recorded December 3, 2025, they now need to figure out which vessel this is.
As this isn’t narcotics related, MAOC-N is looking to outsource the investigation.
That’s where you come in. Below you find the report from the MAOC-N. Use that information to identify the vessel and all of its ports of call during 2025.
Unfortunately, we weren’t cleared to receive the satellite image yet. For now, the report is all we have to go on.
As always, Special Agent K, the contract is yours, if you choose to accept.
IMINT ANALYSIS REPORT
DISTRIBUTION: Priority One / Maritime Task Force (Atlantic Basin)
SUBJECT: Detection of Anomalous Cargo on Transatlantic Transit
TARGET OVERVIEW:
- Timestamp: 03 DEC 2025 | 10:47 PM (UTC)
- Coordinates: 19.5084, -49.6377 (North-Central Atlantic)
- Behavioral Note: Target is maintaining a constant high-speed transit of 16.50 knots on a direct heading toward the Panama Canal. This exceeds typical fuel-efficient cruising speeds and deviates from standard fishing patterns.
ANALYST’S VISUAL DESCRIPTION (NADIR SATELLITE VIEW): The target is a large-scale industrial vessel measuring approximately 80–81 meters in length and 13 meters in beam. Its visual profile is consistent with a high-capacity Tuna Purse Seiner, though several critical anomalies have been identified.
- Hull & Deck Configuration: The vessel features a deep-blue deck and hull with a thin, high-contrast red trim at the waterline. A large, bright-white multi-tiered observation tower is located forward, casting a significant shadow on the water.
- Aft Rigging: A prominent white power-block crane extends toward the rear. At the very stern, a secondary red-hulled workboat (purse seine skiff) is nested on a specialized launch ramp. Might be two, cannot see clearly.
- Anomalous Cargo: The aft working deck, traditionally used for stowing massive black nylon fishing nets (net piles), is notably clear. In its place, imagery has identified a large, reinforced industrial crate.
- Intel Note: Visual inspection of the crate suggests the presence of a sleek, cylindrical metallic object with distinct aerodynamic fins, inconsistent with standard fishing or refrigeration hardware.
